FitzGerald Nurseries launches MyPlant™ range

FitzGerald Nurseries have just launched their exciting new MyPlantTM range of Garden, Patio and Balcony Plants, onto the Irish and European markets. The MyPlant range has been developed as an outstanding collection of easy care, Patio, balcony, and garden plants.

The MyPlantTM range of plants is a new concept in adaptable, easy care, attractive and long lasting plants for modern urban living spaces.  MyPlantTM  focuses on the use of plants by both gardeners and non gardeners who have a consciousness and desire to use plants for the improvement of their lives and living spaces.

Many of the MyPlantTM range of plants are a world first release of new plants developed through a five year trials breeding, selection and production program at FitzGerald Nurseries in Kilkenny, Ireland.

Over the last 5 years the MyPlantTM range of plants have been developed in Ireland by FitzGerald Nurseries, Kilkenny. The plants have been selected from FitzGeralds own breeding nursery trial station and from international contacts.

The new MyPlantTM range brings together a very exciting new range of over twenty two innovative plants from the Fitzgerald nursery trial station. Having spent the last 15 years as an exporter of plants from Ireland to various parts of the world, FitzGerald Nurseries have brought together some of its most unique and exclusive plants under the new MyPlantTM brand, for release to Irish gardeners and non gardeners who simply want easy-care plants for their outdoor living space .

Some of the innovative plants in the new MyPlantTM range include the following:-

Cordyline australis Charlies Pink Spire

This plant was discovered by a UK nurseryman and given to be produced exclusively by FitzGerald Nurseries for world sales and on sale for the first time in the world at our display stand this is an outstanding variety in colour and form but most important this Cordyline variety has been tested for garden durability against 11 other Cordyline at our test site here  Kilkenny and has come out the most long lasting and healthy Cordyline for Garden use we have yet encountered. Limited stock is available and this plant is set to be one of the most outstanding and versatile foliage plants for use in garden and patio.

Carex oshimensis ‘Everest’

Another world exclusive from FitzGerald Nurseries and selected at the nursery for its outstandingly bright snow white variegating with vivid green striping.  This plant is produced exclusively by the nursery for sales all over the world and this year at Bloom goes on sale for the very first time limited numbers are available and only while stocks last.

Dierama ‘Blue Belle’

A fantastic Blue flowering Angels Fishing Rod.  On sale in Ireland for the first time and only available this year anywhere FitzGerald Nurseries are the sole producer of this plant in the world and colour is outstanding with flowering on very young plants so it looks set to be a must for keen gardeners and widens the colour range now available in Dierama.  Blue Belle was bred by a UK lady name Diane Rowe who holds an extensive collection of this wonderful South African native. You guessed it plants are available for the first time outside the breeders native UK where our first plants were sent last year for sales just this year in UK and now in Ireland, very limited numbers of this special plant available at Bloom.

Cordyline australis Burgundy Spire

Yes believe it or not another world exclusive and this time from Anthony Tesselaar International in Australia. This fantastic deep Burgundy foliage Cordyline surpasses all others for its depth of colour and easy growing.  Plants are for sale for the first time ever in Europe at our stand.

Raymond Evison Clematis

Last but not least we are very proud to announce the introduction of the Raymond Evison Patio Cleamatis range for the first time in Ireland and hot from Chelsea at the top of our display Raymonds new Chelsea Gold Medal winning Clematis Rebecca named after one of Raymond’s daughters. As a fellow exhibitor at many European shows FitzGerald nurseries and Raymond Evison Clematis in Guernsey got together to introduce this outstand and world renowned breeding to Ireland. Raymond is one of the most recognised authorities on Clematis in the world and we are proud to be of assistance in introducing his wonderful varieties to the Irish gardening Public.
