Since founding FitzGerald Nurseries in 1990, Pat has been internationally recognised as an innovator in the plant industry. From early in his career he has served as chairman of Ireland’s Nursery Association, as a member of the European Nursery Association Committee in the 90s. As an innovator in International horticulture, Pat has proven his ability to develop and produce new plant varieties for international markets and work with other breeders in maximising their genetics. Pat’s overall responsibility is for strategic management of product and strategic client development for the company.
Melanie is responsible for strategic management of sales and marketing on the Continent. Based in Germany, she ensures the planning and introduction of new varieties from breeders around the world. Melanie is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Weihenstephan/Germany, she is fluent in English, German and French, and has much experience in the European nursery industry in countries such as France, Germany and Switzerland.
Erick is a plant production expert. He is originally from Holland where he completed a Masters in Economic Horticulture before commencing work as General Manager at Nes Ammim FloriCulture Ltd in 2001. Erick has worked as a Scientific Researcher in Economy and Horticulture, Operations Manager, Consultant and most recently General Manager of Florensis Ethiopia PLC, an innovative international company. Erick is in charge of coordinating business operations, managing operational costs, allocating budget and human capital resources and strategic management.
Production Head Littlefield
Lenny has been with the company since its foundation and is in charge of supervising all of the day to day liner production activities on our Littlefield site near Jenkinstown.
Production Head Stoneyford
Val is responsible for supervision in the propagation unit and oversees the first stage process of production. Plants are taken as cuttings, seedling, divisions and micro-propagules, then rooted and weaned off under Val’s supervision.
Splitting Supervisor Enniscorthy
Shane is responsible for supervision in the propagation unit in Enniscorthy where the splitting, division and insertion takes place.
